چکیده
Aim: The aim of this study was to examine the effects various preparation types and restorative materials on endocrown restorations applied endodontically treated maxillary first molars stress distribution related tissues. Methodology: A three-dimensional (3D) image a previously extracted intact tooth obtained with CBCT. resulting .dicom files were imported into Mimics. Enamel, dentine, pulp separated as an STL file. Four groups determined prepared in SolidWorks. 3D images relevant finite element analysis software (ABAQUS, 2020 Dassault Systems Simulation Corp., Johnston, RI, USA), load 600 N at occlusal area each model axial direction. Models divided three according material type: Vita Suprinity (VS; VITA Zahnfabrik, Bad Sackingen, Germany), Cerasmart (CS; GC Tokyo, Japan), Shofu Block HC (SB; Shofu, Kyoto, Japan). type cement used RelyX ARC (3M ESPE, MN, USA). Results: Regardless results, any tissue or restoration did not exceed strength limits. In models cusp preparation, dental tissues lower. Higher generally observed which lingual healthy. On other hand, occurring zirconia-reinforced glass ceramics (VS) is higher than ceramic resin matrix (CS, SB). Effect of Endocrown Restorations with Different CAD/CAM Materials: 3D Finite Element and Weibull Analyses
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of two endocrown designs and computer aided design/manufacturing (CAD/CAM) materials on stress distribution and failure probability of restorations applied to severely damaged endodontically treated maxillary first premolar tooth (MFP). Two types of designs without and with 3 mm intraradicular extensions, endocrown (E) and modified endocrown (ME...
متن کاملEffect of Abutment Height Difference on Stress Distribution in Mandibular Overdentures: A Three-Dimensional Finite Element Analysis
Background and Aim: Implant-supported overdentures are a treatment option for edentulous patients. One of the important factors in determining the prognosis of overdenture treatment is to control the distribution of stress in the implant-bone and attachment complex. This study assessed the effect of implant abutment height difference on stress distribution in mandibular overdentures. Materials...
متن کاملThe influence of occlusal loads on stress distribution of cervical composite resin restorations: A three-dimensional finite element study
Non-carious cervical lesion (NCCL) is the loss of hard dental tissue commonly observed at the buccal and labial tooth surfaces at the cementoenamel junction (CEJ). Most NCCLs of teeth can be classified into four categories: attrition, erosion, abrasion, and stress-induced cervical lesion. Stress-induced cervical lesions are loss of tooth structure that results from repeated tooth flexure caused...
متن کاملEffect of Coating Materials on the Fatigue Behavior of Hip Implants: A Three-dimensional Finite Element Analysis
This study aims to validate, using finite element analysis (FEA), the design concept by comparing the fatigue behavior of hip implant stems coated with composite (carbon/PEEK) and polymeric (PEEK) coating materials corresponding to different human activities: standing up, normal walking and climbing stairs under dynamic loadings to find out which of all these models have a better performance in...
متن کاملEffect of Abutment Angulation and Material on Stress and Strain Distributions in Premaxillary Bone: A Three-Dimensional Finite Element Analysis
Background and Aim: Dental implants with angled abutments are often inserted in the anterior maxillary region due to the status of the residual ridge and aesthetic considerations. The purpose of this study was to assess stress and strain distributions in the premaxillary bone around dental implants by means of finite element analysis (FEA). Materials and Methods: Four three-dimensional (3D) fi...
